What Else Can Our Business Do To Drive More Organic Results?

SEO letters with descriptive words inside

This age-old question plagues everyone no matter what side of the fence you are on from business to content writing or even SEO. There is no one size fits all for an organic strategy and depending on your type of business; you may be doing some different things. Our SEO specialists here at L2TMedia understand this and work to implement the strategies that make the most sense for your automotive business. Here are a few things that will help to drive more organic results:

  • Local Targeting
    • We cannot stress local importance enough. Google is experimenting with a mobile index, which means that they believe that mobile is the future. Mobile results work off of a variety of factors such as GPS, WiFi IP address, network towers, etc. In a nutshell, Google is looking at where you are and returning results that are relevant to you right now in your current position. People also search using voice and often look for queries that involve “near me.” Using a combination of local areas with strong keywords in your meta data, URL structure, headlines, and content will help to add relevancy to your site in these areas. Using data markup in Google’s Search Console will also help to alert Google to specific, important information on your site’s pages.

  • Work on your public relations
    • No, this doesn’t mean you have to pitch to local news agencies, blogs, or businesses. While you could do this, it’s not the only way to build public relations. You go where the people are and that includes Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and any other high authority social site that is heavily used. This is a great place to set up a virtual presence to share and personalize your business. SEO is not just about links and content, it is also about your presence and authority in your area(s). The more you share things with your local community, the more people respect your business. Sure, you can share products, but you also want to show what sets you apart such as kids play areas, community events, sponsorships of local charities, and more. Build your brand and create great relationships and you’ll be talked about – as well as searched for!

  • Write meaningful content
    • While there are people in the SEO world that debate whether or not content is king, we need to be honest with ourselves. The entire basis for anything on the internet is content. Keywords are triggers to help the content be seen, but content that means something to someone is more likely to be shared or searched for. Sure, writing about the new model is always good because people want to know about it. There are other opportunities being missed here as well such as answering questions. Help your customers out with a tire-changing guide and plug in your service center or parts store for ways the customers can get a new tire repaired or bought. Highlight a really cool feature in a car that people need, such as backup cameras, and explain why they need this feature and then plug in some of your inventory that includes these features. Did you do something cool in your community? Write about it and link it on your “About Us” page, or place it in a dropdown menu and share it online. Sometimes the final product isn’t what you should necessarily be selling.

Some of your site’s organic visibility will be tied to your domain age, but many of the tactics outlined above will also help to capture in organic traffic. SEO is not just about fulfilling a keyword query anymore, it has evolved into a user experience and relationship-building exercise as Google has gotten smarter with their algorithm updates. Keywords and location targeting are still very important factors in an SEO strategy, but it’s no longer the entire picture in order to have a successful SEO strategy. Our SEO and content team are at the forefront of doing it all and helping to drive more organic traffic and brand awareness to your automotive dealership or local business.
