At L2TMedia, our employees are our greatest asset, and we want to show them off. Meet George Sorensen, Billing Coordinator and latest winner of the L2T Belt of Excellence, which recognizes those who exemplify L2T’s core values. George joined us in 2016 as an intern in Finance, and has been a knockout performer ever since. Just this month, George and a co-worker launched an after-hours Java training program for all L2Ters.  Here’s a little more about one of our favorite heavyweight champs at L2T:

George, What do you like most about working at L2TMedia?

I love the work environment L2t has. I truly feel that when I walk into work everyone is pushing for the same goals. Everyone shows up every day to do their best and it is an honor to be a part of that.

What is the most important thing you’ve learned since you joined us?

Organization is key. When my role began to grow my time became so limited. I had to learn how to make sure I can fit all the responsibilities I have in one day.

What advice would you give a new hire at L2TMedia?

Don’t be afraid to voice an idea. The most intimidating thing about starting is not having the confidence in what you think. If you feel that you have come up with something that can make things better, voice it.

We love cars… more than we should. What was the year/make/model of your first car?

1995 Mercury Sable. I still drive it to this day. It’s not old, it’s vintage.

Tell us a bit about you that has nothing to do with work?

I was actually an Art History minor at Brigham Young which shocks a lot of people because of my sports background. My favorite painting is “Napoleon Crossing the Alps” by David.
